mobalean works with clients in an agile manner, providing them rapid feedback and quickly adapting to new or changing requirements. Our pragmatic solutions meet the business reality of finite resources. Through openness, the sharing of information and contribution to open source software, we encourage innovation and lower costs.
Mobile Experts
mobalean has extensive experience with mobile web development, particularly for the Japanese market. We have created cross-carrier solutions (docomo, KDDI, SoftBank) that deliver content to users and interface with the carrier's billing. Additionally, we know how to take advantage of carrier and handset specific features such as obtaining the physical location of the user.
Software Developers
mobalean's founders are all passionate about technology. We thrive at designing and developing software solutions, and are experienced Linux system administrators. Our language of choice is Ruby, however we are also familiar with other languages such as C/C++, Java, PHP, and Python. We use Linux as our primary development platform, and are proficient with products such as Apache's web server, MySQL, memcached, and Squid. We also have experience with Cloud computing services, such as heroku and AWS.
Community Members
mobalean's founders are all active in the mobile and technology communities. Since mobalean's inception, Michael has been appointed a technical ambassador for MobileMonday Tokyo and Paul has given presentations at NinJava, a developer seminar, and Tokyo2.0, a web technology community event. Henri has been the system administrator for the Tokyo Linux User Group since several years. Additionally, we help other mobile developers in Japan through our Wiki and by managing the Mobile In Japan developer community.
International
mobalean's founders are a Finn, German, and Canadian living in Japan. Between us we are fluent in five different languages: English, Japanese, Finnish, German, and French. Our knowledge of the Japanese market and technology combined with our international background give us a unique perspective as developers.
